Here is the story of Annie’s Nursery. Once upon a time…

I qualified as a Music Specialist in 1995 and I have been teaching primary and secondary children since in both the state and private sector. 3 years ago I decided to further my experience in education by taking up a post working with children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. During this time there was a pregnancy bug going around and I was fortunate enough to catch it. During my maternity leave I had a wonderful idea that I wanted to qualify as a bookkeeper as I obviously felt that breast feeding, lack of sleep, teaching piano and clarinet, oh yes, and housework weren’t keeping me busy enough. Having gained a gorgeous son, Evan, and another qualification my year’s maternity leave ended. I now entered a world of childcare.

I was prepared to travel out of Insch in order to get the best childcare. Not ideal but necessary. I soon became jealous of my son going into this wonderful, stimulating and friendly environment and I loved the atmosphere and also the energy of the children. Mmmmm, I would like this closer to home.

I purchased 1 Rannes Street and set out on my mission to provide a home from home environment for little ones. I can say that it has not been easy nor cheap but very exciting. I had a vision of a loving, friendly nursery with a big garden, stimulating activities, good healthy food and, best of all, music every day.

So, here I am offering great quality childcare to you the parents/carers. There is nothing better than going about your daily business knowing that your child is happy and safe in the care of staff who are friendly, qualified and experienced.
