Why Annie's team?

They are dedicated, caring, fun, trustworthy and motivated to making Annie's Nursery the best, where children are cared for, nurtured , challenged, listened to and valued. They are all eager to progress in their knowledge and understanding of early years, and spend time outwith nursery researching and training to ensure their practice is current. All of the team are qualified to different levels.

Ashleigh Christie
Ashleigh is our nursery Manager, Ashleigh hold her SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People, she is working towards her level 4 and after plans to works towards her PDA or BA. Ashleigh has always worked with young children and is always striving for success.
Out with work Ashleigh is very sociable and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Hayley Whalen
Butterfly Room Assistant Lead Practitioner
Hayley joined the Annie's team when she moved to the area in August 2021. Hayley has always wanted to get into Childcare and is now pursuing her goal. Hayley is currently working towards gaining her SSCYP Level 7 qualification. Hayley has great ideas and is wonderful with the children. In her spare time Hayley volunteers at Rainbows and is kept busy with her young daughter.
Lisa Michie
Butterfly Room Nursery Practitioner
Lisa has been part of the Annie's team since 2013, making her the longest serving member of Annie's staff team. Lisa holds her SSCYP Level 9. Lisa is always keen to be part of the development of the nursery, and always goes above and beyond for the children and the staff.
Sandra McCorry
Butterfly Room Nursery Practitioner
Sandra joined the Annie's team in March 2021. Sandra holds her SSCYP Level 7. Sandra has wonderful relationships with the children and puts them at the heart of her practice always. In her spare time Sandra is involved with Brownies and Rainbows and volunteers with HomeStart.
Hayley Simpson
Caterpillar Room Lead Practitioner
Hayley joined the Annie's team in October 2021. Hayley has many years of childcare experience and is a Mum herself. Hayley currently holds her SSCYP Level 7 qualification. She embodies what a nurturing practitioner should be and is fantastic with the our Caterpillar room children.
Anne Garden
Caterpillar Room Nursery Practitioner
Annie has been with Annie's since 2016. Anne has extensive experience in childcare, safeguarding, and working with families. Anne is qualified to SSCYP Level 7. Anne is wonderful at providing nurturing care and giving each child 1 on 1 time when required.
Julie Spence
Relief Support Worker
Julie is local to the nursery and always on hand to help. Julie is a happy, positive, and reliable member of staff. Julie shows a keen interest in childcare and building her understanding of what we do.
Hannah Mackie
Relief Support Worker
Hannah is local to the nursery and is a student nurse. She is hardworking and has quickly developed positive relationships with the children and staff. Hannah is a great asset to the team.
Emma Ferguson
Relief Support Worker
Emma is local to the nursery and previously was a permanent member of staff. Emma has her own Make-Up Artistry business and is very creative. Emma is great with the children and always comes up with fun art and craft activities to do with them.
Lucy Barclay
Relief Support Worker
Lucy is currently still at school and works for us in the school holidays. Lucy would like to eventually be a teacher, so working at Annie's is great experience for her. Lucy is mature, reliable, fun and is wonderful with the children.
Jenna Lee Murray
Nursery Cook
Jenna is our new cook at Annie's. Jenna has previous nursery cook experience. She is passionate about involving the children in food preparation and baking.
